Our visit to Carrowmore Tombs

We started our day at half nine. Fourth class went on the bus and headed for Carrowmore. Carrowmore is situated in Ransboro; it takes five minutes from Ransboro School to get there. Joyce led us to number twenty six and number twenty seven. You're thinking "what is so important about number twenty six and number twenty seven?" Well the Swedish team investigated the circular tombs. The Swedish team found bones of adults and children in the tombs. Also these tombs were beside a quarry. They nearly got demolished.

As soon as we arrived at the Visitor Centre we were greeted by Paraic (the tour guide). He guided us to the information desk where we found out that the tombs were over six thousand years old. Paraic told us a story that was named THE THIEF THE BOY AND THE COW ! (about a tomb near Ballygawley). We saw three more tombs before we saw the main one, called Listoghil. Listoghil has a tomb inside it that has a piece of art work on the front of the capstone.
